App a third more effective than mobile web

People in the U-Acko.cz storehouse were rather busy since half of November also because of an app. They launched it on 10th September 2015 and after just three months it started to generate significant income.

Between 19th November and 19th December the order ratio was this:

  • 62 % from desktops,
  • 17 % from web optimized for mobile devices,
  • 21 % from Asymbo app.

10 % conversion rate as a proof of a shopping simplicity in the app

In the monitored period, customers visited the app 2,246 times. U-Acko.cz motivated them to install it with 15% first purchase discount. Often successfully: the conversion rate in the mobile application reached 10, 2%.

In more than half of cases it involved repeated visits. It means that 57% of visitors can be described as returning users.

What the app brought to U-Acko.cz

Application achieved the goal beyond the expectations.

  • It took part in 21% of the total sales (Nov 19 –Dec 19).
  • It accumulated a stable base of 1,900 active installations (Sep 10 – Jan 6 2016).
  • During the first two months it covered all the costs of an annual license.
We were surprised by the speed of first orders. All it took was a web smart banner and a reference on social networks. The interest in the app hasn’t been easing up even at the beginning of 2016. In the first week in January, the number of installations rose by more than 210. The new customers come mainly from Facebook which they visit mostly from mobiles now. And that plays into our hands.
